I'm all for new ways to treat depression, and the idea of coming at it from scent receptors is intriguing.
On the other hand, the throwaway line about "new kinds of tear gas" is extremely concerning. Want to guess which application will be funded by corporations and the state first?
I'll occasionally gnaw on how counterintuitive it is that and how 'sublethal' munitions are their own kind of nightmare fuel vs the lethal kind.
