Then there are the songs I like covers AND the original of, like George Michael doing Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
(Yes, I’m listening to George Michael croon “I can’t make you love me… if you wooooon’t” on repeat, thanks.)
And of course anything Led Zep did, Heart did better, if they cared to try. Don’t @ me.
There is also a special place in my heart for John Waite and Alison Krauss sort-of-recovering “Missing You”, too.
Of course, I’ll always drop what I’m doing and listen to “Missing You” when it comes up on the radio or the queue. Because that song, OMG.
You know what would rock, though? Kane Brown doing a cover of Bon Jovi’s “Blaze of Glory.”

London Grammar’s cover of “Wicked Game” is pretty damn sweet next to the Chris Isaak one; I also love their cover of Kavinsky’s “NightCall.” Basically any London Grammar is good.

I first heard them in 85 when the self-titled album came out... Then Bad Animals... I love some of the tracks on those albums... but then I found that back catalog... jesus.
They influenced so much, but never really got full credit for that... we all know why, yet they are undeniable.
I would rather listen to them play Led Zeppelin covers (not to mention their own catalog) than anything else from the 70's.
