A good friend just apologized for being gloomy today.

Honestly, the way things are now, being gloomy (or overwhelmed) is a completely reasonable, rational response. It’s all right to feel what you’re feeling right now.

In fact, I’d be kind of concerned if more people *weren’t* gloomy, overwhelmed, or incandescent with rage at the moment. All of these are ABSOLUTELY REASONABLE responses to the bullshit we’re being forced to endure.

So if you’re furious, gloomy, overwhelmed, sad, or suffering other strong emotions right now, that’s okay. In fact, it’s a perfectly appropriate response to All This.

Grant yourself the grace you would grant your friends right now, beloveds.
