So, that was PREY. The movie FLEW by, my goodness. Structurally super solid, thematically on-point, wonderfully acted, and the dog lives.
I’m going to have to watch this one a few times and take notes. Just wonderful.
I have a soft spot for the original movie because I was so young when I first watched it, and the PREDATORS one because Adrien Brody. (We all know how I feel about him.)
But PREY absolutely blows everything else out of the water.
I am told there’s also a Comanche dub, which will be utterly glorious.
And the dog lives! SARII LIVES, AND IS THE BEST BOI EVAR!
I need this movie on DVD and everything else. With a vengeance. Holy wow and star my garters, that was *satisfying*. Two thumbs way, way up.

It’s not often that a book or movie pulls me in so completely I stop looking “under the hood” at the structure and underpinnings. This one managed it, which is a huge and welcome surprise.
